WAVE
A smocked skirt. A happy colourful skirt. A pleated skirt with a high reversable waist.
One that makes everyone long for spring, small and tall!
Boots: out of the question. Wellingtons are allowed though.
I bought this fabric once from an overstock, this is AN ORIGINAL 80ies ITEM :-)

The Thin Blue Line
Again embroidered self-made t-shirts, one blue and one brown version. This time for adults and with a 'heavier' concept than those for kids ;-).
The thin blue line refers to our fragile atmosphere (dixit Brian Cox- Wonders of the Solar System).
It has to be taken care of, similarly for the shirt.
Embroidered with taants' inherited pearl collection and made with last overstock fabric Stephan Schneider!

TAANT
Millions of pearls and glitters I inherited from taant, my all time muze...
loads of opportunities for experimenting!
With leftovers from Stephan Schneider's overstock fabric I made these embroidered t-shirts.
The fish is based on the red sea bannerfish, which I had the pleasure of encountering once in Egypt while snorkeling.

Yes You CANS
For three years I collected empty coffee cans.
I upholster them with textile leftovers, which turns them into a functional and aesthetic storage item.
They were made as a guest assignment for http://www.deinvasievankortrijk.be/ and will be for sale soon on http://www.deinvasie.be/
Hundreds of cans are still waiting for new remainders... a project to be continued!
Thank you Yves for the pics!

Bonnie's Mc Coat & Mc Dress
Since tartan equals comforting childhood memories, I bought the whole stock when I stumbled upon these fabric rolls on the famous Ghent flea market ;-)
My oldest daughter got her Mc Dress about 2 years ago and last winter I made her the Mc Coat.
Motivated by all the lovely comments, I decided to use the whole lot on several sizes for kids...
which resulted in a tiny 'collection' for sale here:-)
I was inspired by Courrèges for the pattern of the dress, making double seams is so much worth the effort...

Gaspard & Antoinette
Grandmothers' cardigans
I found these two fabrics at an old-school shop in the middle of no-where in Belgium.
In memory of my grandmother Antoinette

No thank you, I already have a bag
Go away plastic shoppingbags!
Someone wanted to throw away bags filled with old fabric from a deceased lady.
Luckily, a friend got hold of it before it ended up in waste paradise.
In the bags were wonders of surprise.
For this lady, whom I will call Taant, I gave revival in the form of re-usable shopping bags.

Esperanza futon pleasure
The filling of these pillows consists of kapok, it's a natural material that revives when putting it in the sun.
The combination of two fabrics makes the pillows adjustable to mood & season.
The combo's are made of second-hand cotton, wool, aswell as some rare travelling finds.
The cover is removable and can be washed :-)
These pillows are an ode to Esperanza, the most beautiful place in the world.
